The "Whites vs. Indians" vigilante violence solution rearing it's ugly head
Disclaimer: The following letter to the editor suggests vigilante action with no police involvement. This is a very dangerous suggestion and this blog condemns the inferrence or incitement vehemently. It should also be noted that the author lumped all non-natives as being "white". This is not true in Canada as we have a diverse population represented by many races and cultures. It is also not fundamentally true that the OPP disrupted any meeting whatsoever. The Elk's Lodge in Picton cancelled the booking for their own reasons as they have stated publically and the police simply arranged for an alternative location in an open area and didn't interfere as long as no violence broke out. Neither side of the debate had their rights infringed upon.
This blog is also not in any way linking the letter writer to Gary McHale, his associates in CANACE or their message/beliefs or their publicly posted accusations of the OPP about that meeting.
Thanks
OPP interference in public meeting amazing
I would like to express my anger and amazement at the article that appeared in the paper concerning the OPP interfering in citizens' right to protest via public meeting. Lawfully I might add.
The OPP do not seem capable of stopping the Mohawk terrorists in their illegal blockades but seem quite capable of interfering with non-native protests. It is now time that the OPP, who seem helpless in the face of the brave Indians, back off and let the majority of non-natives express their anger at the disruption of their right by a few so called activists.
Maybe the OPP should go on holidays and let justice (non-native inspired) take its course. Maybe, just maybe, us white folks need to express our anger against the Indians and let them experience some white anger.
